Get ready to grab your blasters, nerf herders, the newest season of DLC for Star Wars: Battlefront II is nearly upon us.
With the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story less than 3 weeks away, EA has tweeted a tease of a new season of DLC content this month for its popular online Star Wars shooter. Declaring that this month marks Han Solo season, the Battlefront II publisher promises that details regarding the upcoming DLC will be revealed sometime within the next week.
Released this past November, Star Wars: Battlefront II features a rotating seasonal DLC system offering new game modes and maps available for free to players online. The first season for the team-based online shooter tied into The Last Jedi allowing players to battle in the film's final setting on the salt flats of Crait, while the most recent season brought the action to Endor with players battling as Stormtroopers and Ewoks across the forest planet.
It appears this month's upcoming season may tie-into the spinoff Han Solo prequel possibly featuring new environments and assets from the record-breaking new Star Wars film.
Directed by Ron Howard from a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra, and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca. They’re joined by Thandie Newton as Val, Phoebe Waller-Bridge L3-37, Paul Bettany as Dryden Vos, and Woody Harrelson as Tobias Beckett. The film hits theaters on May 25.
