A new series of character posters featuring the cast of Star Wars: The Bad Batch dropped on the eve of the upcoming animated series debut on Disney+ on May 4, aka Star Wars Day.

Six character posters were released, featuring Hunter, Echo, Tech, Crosshair and Wrecker -- members of Clone Force 99, an elite force of enhanced clones known as The Bad Batch --  on the Star Wars website. A new Star Wars character, Omega, also received a solo poster.

The five Clone Troopers were first introduced in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated series. Clone Force 99 made their debut in the show's seventh and final season premiere episode, "The Bad Batch." The team was named after a defective clone designated as "99," who served as a janitor but gave his life to save those of his fellow clones in a battle with the Separatists' droid army, as seen in the Clone Wars episode "ARC Troopers."

Little is known about Omega, the young woman seen only in the trailer for the new series. Omega knows the members of Clone Force 99 -- seemingly to their surprise -- and later allies herself with them when the team appears to be on the run.

The Bad Batch takes place in the aftermath of The Clone Wars, following the overthrow of the Republic and its transition to the Galactic Empire. In the trailer, Clone Force 99 was originally seen demonstrating their fighting prowess in the presence of Admiral Tarkin. The team later runs afoul of Tarkin, who orders them to be found and destroyed.

Created by Dave Filoni, Star Wars: The Bad Batch stars Dee Bradley Baker and Ming-Na Wen. The series premieres May 4 on Disney+.
