While fans still have to wait until this fall to catch Season 2 of the acclaimed series, The Mandalorian's biggest star, Baby Yoda, has yet again been given the mashup treatment with another of the franchise's iconic characters: Darth Maul.

The Yoda/Maul mashup is the brainchild of artist Guru Studio Asset Director Chris Bobinski, who's responsible for, among other series, Paw Patrol. Bobinski revealed his creation on Twitter in May, writing, "I figure Clone Wars and The Mandalorian needs to connect somehow. I'm guessing this is not how. Who knows."

Baby Yoda has previously been mashed up with two other Star Wars mainstays: Jabba the Hut and Jar Jar Binks. While the consensus seemed to favor Jar Jar in terms of pure cuteness, the Jabba collaboration drew some light criticism for being a bit too reminiscent of Baby Sinclair from the '90s sitcom Dinosaurs.

Darth Maul was introduced in 1999's The Phantom Menace. While originally only making the one appearance, he became a fan-favorite and was brought back in The Clone WarsRebels and Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Season 1 is available now on Disney+, with Season 2 premiering in October.
