Star Wars: The High Republic #1 launches in October from writer Cavan Scott and artist Ario Anindito. Scott and Anindito are reuniting following their successful run on the first volume of Star Wars: The High Republic, which launched in Jan. 2021 from Marvel before concluding its 15-issue run in March 2022. The new High Republic relaunch is set 150 years before the events of the first phase. "Phase II of Star Wars: The High Republic will center around Jedha, a planet rich in its connection to the Force and the focus of every major faith in the galaxy," Marvel said of the series. "The new flagship Star Wars: The High Republic comic series will introduce Jedi Vildar Mac, who arrives as Jedha’s fragile peace begins to crumble and a nameless terror arrives…"

Star Wars: The High Republic - The Blade #1 launches in November from writer Charles Soule (Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi) and artist Marco Castiello. "The four-issue limited series will explore the mysterious backstory of Porter Engle, the Jedi-turned-cook also known as the Blade of Bardotta," Marvel said.

Soule is one of the chief architects behind Star Wars: The High Republic storytelling. Last month, Soule officially became a creative consultant for Lucasfilm and is a featured guest at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim while representing Star Wars: The High Republic with Cavan Scott and Daniel José Older. In addition to Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, he has also worked on other Star Wars titles, including Lando, Obi-Wan and Anakin, Poe Dameron, Darth Vader, The Rise of Kylo Ren, War of the Bounty Hunters, Crimson Reign and The High Republic: Eye of the Storm.

The High Republic is a time period in Star Wars history set approximately two centuries prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. Comics, novels, audio plays and more are all used to tell the stories of the Jedis who defined the era. The High Republic will be displayed in live-action format in the upcoming Star Wars: The Acolyte series, which will premiere on Disney+ in 2023.
