Disney+'s upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka is reportedly searching for an actor to bring Rebels' Sabine Wren to live-action.

According to THR, Lucasfilm is seeking someone to star opposite Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano as Sabine, which would make her the latest in a growing line of animated characters adapted for live-action. This follows Dawson seemingly confirming that Mena Massoud and Lars Mikkelsen would play Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn, respectively.

Sabine's jump to live-action has been all but inevitable. In January, Dawson even added fuel to the fire by liking a tweet suggesting the character would appear in Ahsoka.

Debuting in Rebels, Sabine is a Mandalorian warrior and a member of Clan Wren with a knack for artistry. Over the course of Rebels, she would come into possession of the symbolic Darksaber, which factored heavily into The Mandalorian and represents the freedom and restoration of Mandalore. However, she would eventually relinquish the weapon to Bo-Katan Kryze, who somehow lost it to Moff Gideon prior to the events of The Mandalorian.

As for Sabine, her last appearance was in the series finale of Rebels, which saw her and Ahsoka in search of Ezra after he and Thrawn disappeared by way of a pod of purrgil. Ahsoka, meanwhile, made it clear during her appearance in Season 2 of The Mandalorian that she was still looking for Ezra, despite not being accompanied by Sabine.
