A fan-favorite Star Wars character will reportedly play a role in Disney+'s upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

According to The Illuminerdi, Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka Tano is slated to make an appearance alongside Ewan McGregor in the streaming service's Obi-Wan Kenobi show. Sources for the site state Dawson is in negotiations to guest-star, though to what degree Ahsoka will play in the freshman season is still unclear.

After a false rumor surfaced that the Obi-Wan Kenobi series had been canceled, it was revealed that the show had been put on indefinite hold while Lucasfilm searched for new writers to replace Hossein Amini, as Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy was reportedly unhappy with the scripts. It was then revealed that the show's planned six-episode run had been cut to four. Next, an April report revealed Joby Harold had been tapped to pen new scripts for the series, which is being directed by Deborah Chow.

The news of Dawson's casting as Ahsoka Tano for The Mandalorian Season 2 was the first salvo of reports regarding Star Wars: The Clone Wars alums. Since then, Bo-Katan Kryze and Captain Rex are reported to appear, along with Temuera Morrison returning as Boba Fett.

Directed by Deborah Chow and starring Ewan McGregor, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is currently in development for Disney+. A release date has not been announced.
