Pacific Rim: Uprising star Ivanna Sakhno has joined the cast of Disney+'s Ahsoka Tano series.

According to Deadline, details about Sakhno's character are being kept under wraps. However, it is rumored she will be playing an original character opposite titular star Rosario Dawson.

Created by Dave Filoni and George Lucas, Ahsoka Tano made her debut in the 2008 animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars as the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. Initially criticized by critics and fans, she eventually became one of the franchise's most beloved characters over the course of Star Wars: The Clone Wars' seven-season run. From Clone Wars, she transitioned to Star Wars Rebels before making her live-action debut in Season 2, Episode 13 of The Mandalorian, "The Jedi." That episode saw Ahsoka inquiring about the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn, a Star Wars Rebels villain, hinting that her spinoff series will focus on her hunt for the Empire officer and serve as a follow-up to the events of Rebels.

Sakhno joins a growing cast of characters who will join Dawson's Ahsoka in the galaxy far, far away. Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader from the prequel trilogy, while Natasha Liu Bordizzo will portray the live-action version of the Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren, who served as an ally to Ahsoka in Rebels. Also reportedly coming over from Rebels are Thrawn and the Jedi Ezra Bridger, played by Lars Mikkelsen and Mena Massoud, respectively. Finally, reports also suggest that the series is looking to cast a 20-something male actor to play Riz, a mysterious character who is "a bit of a lone wolf," according to the description.
