The upcoming third and final season of Star Trek: Picard is previewing the bridge crew of the USS Titan-A, a ship destined to be crucial to the show's climactic events.

While the Paramount+ Star Trek: The Next Generation sequel series will conjure another galactic crisis for its octogenarian protagonist, Picard Season 3 has been telegraphing extended screen time aboard the USS Titan-A, Starfleet's advanced new model that follows in the legacy of the original ship captained by William Riker (Jonathan Frakes) during the years following 2002's Star Trek: Nemesis. With the full Season 3 trailer having introduced the new ship's leadership in Captain Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick) and a familiar face of a First Officer in Commander Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), showrunner Terry Matalas tweeted official descriptions and images of personnel from the Titan-A bridge crew.

Ensign Sidney LaForge (Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut) will occupy the helm. And no, the surname is no coincidence since she is the daughter of Geordi LaForge (LeVar Burton). However, she won't be alone in that classification since Picard will also feature another LaForge sister, Alandra, played by Mica Burton, the actor's real-life daughter. The official description says of Sidney that, "unlike her sister, Alandra, she didn't want to build ships, she wanted to fly them." Next on the list and occupying the other side in front of the big screen on tactical is Lt. Matthew Arliss Mura (Joseph Lee), a Bajoran who is said to have served on the new ship for the last 3 years and "is exactly who you want at that station when you hear "give 'em everything we got!"

On the opposite side of the bridge is the ship's Vulcan science officer, Lt. T'Veen (Stephanie Czajkowski), who is apparently one of the most highly-sought officers in Starfleet since "several Captains fought to have her on their bridge. The Titan won." Lastly, there's the ship's communications officer, Ensign Kova Rin Esmar (Jin Maley), a member of the telepathic Haliian species, which was introduced in The Next Generation Season 6 episode "Aquiel," whose eponymous character was a junior officer (also in communications) and a love interest of Geordi's accused of murder. The new character, described as using They/Them pronouns, is said to have "graduated at the top of their class and speaks over 72 alien languages."

The heralded final episodes of Star Trek: Picard seems to mark the final voyage for the crew of Star Trek: The Next Generation since Season 3 will finally unite Patrick Stewart's Jean-Luc Picard with the surviving original crew of the USS Enterprise-D in William Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) and Worf (Michael Dorn). Yet, the "surviving" qualification could use an asterisk since Brent Spiner will also return, albeit as Data's often-evil twin brother, Lore.

Indeed, the concluding season appears destined to close the story of Star Trek: The Next Generation as a whole, which, besides Picard, has been represented by its 1987-1994 seven-season syndicated run and the theatrically released features Star Trek: Generations (1994), Star Trek: First Contact (1996), Star Trek: Insurrection (1998) and Star Trek: Nemesis (2002).

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 commences its weekly episodic run on Paramount+ on Feb. 16.
