In less than three months, Star Trek: Picard brings the fan-favorite character back -- boldly going where no one has gone before -- and a photo reveals a new look at unseen history of the career Starfleet officer.

The series shared a look at Jean-Luc Picard's admiral uniform with the Stardate 2385, a period previously undocumented in official Star Trek canon. The date is six years after the events of Star Trek: Nemesis, the last time The Next Generation protagonist was seen -- potentially indicating this was the date of the character's promotion.

With the upcoming CBS All Access series informed by the destruction of Romulus, the homeworld of the Romulan Star Empire as depicted in the 2009 film Star Trek, this puts the Stardate of Picard approximately around 2402, over fifteen years later.

It is unknown if the series will fill in the time jump through flashbacks, archival footage of Picard's time as an admiral, or his eventual retirement from Starfleet to run his family vineyard in France, but the image does provide a neat look at Picard's undiscovered history.
