CBS has announced the return date for Star Trek: Discovery's first season: Sunday January 7, 2018. Touted in an official press release as "Chapter Two" of the hit sci-fi series, the show will return to its regular time slot of 8:30pm ET on the CBS All-Access streaming service.

The tenth episode of the series thus far, Chapter Two's first installment will be titled "Despite Yourself."

The eight-episode first Chapter of Star Trek: Discovery kicked off with a two-episode premiere on Sunday, September 24. It will continue to run weekly until its Chapter One finale, episode nine, which is slated to air/stream on Sunday, November 12. Upon returning to the small screen for Chapter Two on January 7, the series will release installments weekly until Sunday, February 11.

Star Trek: Discovery has already been renewed for a second season.

Airing Sundays at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS All Access, Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Jason Isaacs, Anthony Rapp, Shazad Latif, Mary Wiseman, Wilson Cruz, Mary Chieffo and James Frain.
