Both Guardians of the Galaxy are heavily-armed, with Drax carrying a massive bazooka-esque weapon and Star-Lord holding his two quad blasters.

The hi-res image also lets you get an up-close look at Peter Quill's shirt, which will surely be mass-produced in time for the film's release this May. The logo is written in an alien language and features a few designs that look like molecules.

In the image's accompanying article, Chris Pratt talked about the sequel and what fans can expect to see in it. “You can expect to see everything you loved in the first movie, but you’re also going to… but it… oh, I should rephrase that.” Pratt then cleared his throat and gave it another try: “Don’t expect to see everything you saw in the first movie. But expect to be charmed and thrilled and entertained like you were watching the first movie.”

According to Marvel's own testing, Pratt's prediction that audiences will be "charmed and thrilled and entertained" seems accurate. So far the film has scored a perfect 100 in test screenings that the studio has held for friends and family members, beating previous high-scorers “Iron Man 3” and “The Avengers.”

Pratt also spoke to Empire about working with Kurt Russell, who plays Star-Lord's long lost father Ego in the film. Pratt called working with the veteran actor “humbling and exceptional. He’s surpassed any expectation I could have had.”

In a recent interview, writer/director James Gunn also spoke about the sequel and teased what fans can expect in the new film. “I think the primary story is really about learning that thing that we think we want, that we’re going to get outside of ourselves and outside of these relationships that we have, has been there all along,” said Gunn.

Written and directed by James Gunn, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2″ stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, and franchise newcomer, Kurt Russell, who plays Star-Lord’s father – Ego, the Living Planet. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” arrives in theaters May 5.
