Stanley Tucci is officially on board for Disney's "Beauty and the Beast," Variety reports.

The actor, who has most recently been seen in popular films such as "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1" and "Transformers: Age of Extinction," will play a new character in the film: Cadenza the grand piano. The character is described as "a neurotic maestro."

Tucci joins a cast that includes Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans’ as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Josh Gad as LeFou, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Kevin Kline as Maurice and Ewan McGregor as Lumiere.

Bill Condon will directed from a script originally penned by Disney veteran Evan Spiliotopoulos and then rewritten by “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” author Stephen Chbosky. Production is set to begin next month at Shepperton Studios in London.

“Beauty and the Beast” opens March 17, 2017.
