Monday night's special theatrical preview of "Doctor Strange" offered a number of glimpses into the films mystical dimensions, and revealed Stan Lee's place in the film: riding a bus.

As the sequence unfolds, Doctor Strange and Baron Mordo -- as played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor -- are attempting to flee from Mads Mikkelsen's Kaeculius and his followers. Strange tries to conjure escape portals, but Kaeculius folds New York around them, knocking them away from the conjuring.

When the pair lose their footing after nearly reaching one of the portals, they slam into the side of a bus where Lee is seen reading a book on metaphysics, calling it all a lot of nonsense.

Lee's cameos are usually held back by Marvel Studios until the time of a film's release, so the inclusion of the moment indicates a new approach to the Marvel legend's appearances. Last year, his moment in "Deadpool" --released by 20th Century Fox -- was also used in marketing materials prior to the film's release.

"Doctor Strange" opens on November 7.
