'Stan Lee's Alliances: A Trick of Light' Gets Premiere Date, Teaser Trailer

Although comic book icon and Marvel legend Stan Lee passed away last year, one of his final projects, Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light, is about to be released. 

The Audible project from Lee, Ryan Silbert and Luke Lieberman follows a mysterious young woman named Nia and a aspiring Internet celebrity named Cameron Ackerson who gets a set of high-tech superpowers and finds herself facing off against a shadowy organization called OPTIC.

Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light was written by Stan Lee and author Kat Rosenfield. The audio drama, which is somewhat inspired by the radio shows of Lee's youth, and will feature several new characters who are among his final co-creations.

"One of the things he was looking at with respect to VR and AR and [the internet] was our ability to craft these versions of ourselves," Lieberman told The Hollywood Reporter. "These avatars that we present to the world and what the relationship is between that and who we really are."

Preorders for Stan Lee’s Alliances: A Trick of Light are available on Audible and will premiere on Thursday, June 27th.
