Over the course of his impressive career, Stan Lee helped to create plenty of heroes, including -- but not limited to -- the likes of Black Panther, the Fantastic Four and Thor. However, his (and Steve Ditko's) most notable creation is none other than Spider-Man, a character that continues to thrive 56 years since his first appearance. And for Lee, Spider-Man, as well as the entire Spider-Man universe, is the creation he is most proud of.
In honor of the late Stan Lee, Sony Pictures unveiled a tribute video to the man himself on the official Spider-Man movie Twitter account, in which Lee explained why Spider-Man and the Spider-verse is his proudest creation.
"People of all ages seem to love Spider-Man, and more than that, he's international!" Lee explained. "When I travel, any country I go to, people know Spider-Man."
In the video, which you can watch in full below, Lee recalls the fan response he continually received throughout his travels and how fans couldn't help but to want to talk about Spider-Man. For Lee, of course, the reaction was something a creator dreams of but rarely gets to experience to that degree -- and it was something he never took for granted.
"If you've spent your life working on something and you find out that the fans love what you have done, and can't wait to meet you at a convention to tell you how pleased they are... it's an experience I can't even describe how wonderful that feels and how grateful that makes me feel," he said.

The video then recaps Lee's various cameos throughout all of the Spider-Man films, including Spider-Man, Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
