After announcing that he's already filmed his next three Marvel movie cameos, former president and chairman of Marvel Comics Stan Lee answered the question “Would you ever consider doing cameos on other projects?” with a lithe, “I want to do more cameos... I even let people know it doesn’t have to be a Marvel movie. I don’t know why DC hasn’t called me. They could use me!”

It’s good to see the spirit of good-natured banter between Marvel and DC alive and, well, less "kicking" than it is "sending jabs across the airwaves at each other." With Marvel and DC dominating the box office in recent years, it’s only to be expected that the kind of banter found for decades in the pages of the comics was bound to transfer over to the two universes' on-screen creations as well.

Of course, it’s unlikely that Lee is going to get that phone call from Warner bros. any time soon but, as Stan The Man knows better than just about anybody, a comment like this is bound to turn a few heads, and maybe -- just maybe -- get some creative gears turning.
