Stan Lee Goes Wireless Around The World With Vidiator

Official Press Release

He's amazing, uncanny, incredible and now he's also wireless.

Stan Lee -- whose creations include Spider-Man(R)(a), the X-Men(R)(a) and the Hulk(R)(a) -- has added wireless content to his creative domain of publishing, animation and film with a global alliance between his company POW! (Purveyors of Wonder) Entertainment (Pink Sheets:POWN) and Vidiator Technology (US) Inc., a leading mobile multimedia solutions provider of mobile streaming and delivery of 3-D rich-media applications.

The alliance will help shape the emerging business of content distribution and M-commerce on wireless platforms. Vidiator will have an exclusive relationship with Stan Lee's POW! Mobile for the creation and distribution of wireless content. Marrying creative ideas from one of the most fertile minds in the intellectual property business with Vidiator's rock solid solutions transforms the mobile phone into a personal communications and entertainment device that travels with the consumer, enabling a stronger paradigm for pay-for-play content.

"Streaming broadband content, delivered wirelessly, will make the mobile phone even more indispensable than it is now," says Ben Bajarin, analyst from Creative Strategies. "The possibilities arising from this technology are really exciting. With its animated graphics, images and audio and visual functionality, streaming multimedia will revolutionize the way people experience content like games, news, concerts and text on their mobile phones. Vidiator understands this opportunity and has the vision and technology to succeed."

The alliance will feature the use of VeeStream(TM), Vidiator's leading edge carrier-grade mobile streaming technology and Vee3D(TM), Vidiator's interactive, live-action, 3-D avatars messaging platform. The agreement also calls for the extension of sequels for existing Stan Lee intellectual property and the creation of new mobile applications and content. Stan Lee, POW! and Vidiator will co-develop an exclusive collection of wireless content for distribution to wireless operators around the world. One or more mobile channels will be created under the banner name Stan Lee's POW! Mobile. "I've rarely ever been speechless in my life, but when they showed me the technology and how it works and what we'll be able to do with it, I will admit that I came close," said Lee. "The mind reels at the phantasmagorical possibilities of what we can accomplish with Vidiator -- that, and the fact that they did it all without having to be bitten by radioactive spiders or exposed to cosmic rays."

"Stan has his name on more than two billion books in print, he's done countless animated productions and audiences have shelled out billions at the box office around the world to watch movies based on his stories and characters," Gill Champion, CEO of POW! Entertainment said. "And after all that, he is still moving a mile-a-minute with new ideas. This expansion into wireless was about as inevitable as it gets. We see the importance of this relationship with Vidiator establishing new POW! franchises on a global basis with interactive capabilities and capitalizing on an incredible delivery schedule."

Vidiator's Vee3D, enables mobile operators to offer premium multimedia applications, including Stan Lee's popular, new comic characters. Wireless operators can also offer, for example, 3-D avatar greetings, messages and 3-D avatar announcers for horoscopes, breaking news, music-chart reading services and more, offering new user experiences from traditional text centric content. Within seconds the data comes streaming to user handsets, resulting in a smooth video experience. Vidiator's core streaming technology is currently deployed in ten countries on three continents around the world, generating impressive new data revenue for wireless operators, delivering millions of video clips and live broadcasts of audio and video content per day.

"The capabilities of Vee3D, our 3-D avatar service platform, is opening doors for developing creative rich-media entertainment with short development cycles," said Vidiator CEO Connie Wong. "In some cases, such as the media we're developing with Stan Lee and POW! Entertainment, new applications can be deployed in weeks. To be working with Stan Lee on a global basis is a dream come true for many of us at Vidiator, and it's an opportunity to bring Stan's unique and compelling style to audiences all around the world for mobile multi-media applications."

The first phase of work will involve global wireless distribution of Stan Lee's The Drifter and The Accuser comic episodes. Near term products will be jointly developed, 3-D avatar-based products, including Stripperella Avatar Products, Stan Lee Avatar Products and new episodes of The Drifter, The Accuser and Stripperella. Future development will also include mobile entertainment based on POW!'s Invasion from Space, which was developed in partnership with Artificial Mind and Movement. The second phase of work will involve in merchandising and manufacturing opportunities through an affiliate of Vidiator to establish and monetize Stan's global brand.

In the highly competitive, 1.7 billion subscriber mobile market, customers are increasingly technology-savvy and demanding, pushing mobile operators to find or develop rich-media content to stay competitive. The popularity of Vidiator's new-age mobile multimedia delivery service is rapidly gaining ground in Asia and Europe because it enables subscribers to obtain valuable information and entertainment with superior efficiency. Launching compelling mobile multimedia data services also enables operators to increase their revenue per subscriber and recoup investments in 3G networks faster.
