The comic book industry was shook on Monday afternoon by the news of Stan Lee's passing. The Marvel creator's death at 95 years old has sparked an overwhelming response from fans on social media, as well as those who worked alongside him on the various Marvel projects.

With the outpouring of love and sympathy for Lee, questions have also arisen from fans wondering if this is the last we will see of Lee in the MCUIn his later years, Lee became an MCU staple with his comical cameos in every Marvel film, from his beach appearance in the first X-Men film back in 2000 to his hilarious performance as a wise dog walker in the recent Venom movie. Lee's cameos are as much a hot topic in the Marvel universe as their trademark post-credit teasers. So, with Lee's tragic passing, have we seen the last of him on the big screen?

Thanks to Marvel filmmakers' ingenuity, we will see Lee in a Marvel movie again, specifically in the fourth Avengers film. Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Avengers: Infinity War, revealed that Lee had already filmed his cameo for the next Avengers movie.

"So, Stan, typically we try to get him out -- he doesn't love to fly -- so we try to get him out for his cameos around the same time," said Joe Russo in the interview. "So if we have other movies shooting on the same lot that we're on, for instance Ant-Man 2 or Avengers 4, we group his cameos together and then move him from one set to the next and kind of get him through his cameos in one day."

This is welcome news for Marvel fans, but audiences can catch Lee on the big screen before the next Avengers. Lee has his own animated character in the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse film, due out Dec. 14. Lee will play the owner of a costume shop visited by Miles Morales, which was confirmed in a partial screening of the film last month.
