'St. Lucy's Home For Girls Raised By Wolves' Heads to ABC

Jenny Bicks (The Big C, Sex and the City) will adapt the Karen Russell bestseller St. Lucy's Home for Girls Raised by Wolves for ABC. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Channing Powell (The Walking Dead) is attached to write the script under Bicks' supervision.

The drama centers on mysterious 16-year-old twins Claudette and Felix, who bring unimaginable change to St. Lucy's boarding school. The source material is comprised of 10 short stories with fantastic elements ranging from ghosts to the titular wolf-girls to alligator wrestling. The book is set in Florida's swamps, which is a far cry from the show's setting of Green Hills, Maine.

John Jacobs will executive produce alongside Bicks; the ABC series will be produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Another one of Russell's works, Swamplandia!, previously landed at HBO.
