Publisher Square Enix announced a range of new games during its E3 2021 showcase.

Among the confirmed titles, Square Enix revealed gameplay of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game, new footage of Life Is Strange: True Colours and revealed more information on a variety of new Final Fantasy titles. Here's everything that was announced:

Guardians of the Galaxy

The latest project from Eidos-Montreal, Guardians of the Galaxy seems to pull from a combination of both the original comic books and James Gunn's Marvel Cinematic Universe film. The game will be a single-player experience and won't include live service elements. Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot and Mantis are all confirmed to appear.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be third-person action game and players will take control of Peter Quill as he attempts to lead his strange adopted family. Players will have to make decisions that determine their relationship with the characters and the storyline. The story focuses on a relatively new Guardians team as they attempt to save the universe. Players can travel to a variety of planets and will meet both new and established characters.

The gameplay footage focuses on a conversation between the Guardians as they attempt to conceive a plan to make money. Once landed on what appears to be a dangerous planet, the Guardians walk-and-talk before encountering a group of enemies. Star Lord's combat abilities were showcased in a fight against a group of deadly beasts. Quill can command his teammates in battle as they provide assistance and earn XP after battles. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy will release Oct. 26, 2021 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
