A talented Spy x Family fan has transformed Anya's faithful canine companion into an adorable jewelry box.
User rebesdreamland posted a video on TikTok showcasing how they sculpted the Bond jewelry box. In the description, they explained that "I saw a video about making animal boxes by bandanapottery on IG… decided Bond would make a lovely vessel for that! I knew it wouldn't feel good to gut him so I put his defining features last."
Tatsuya Endo's ongoing Spy x Family manga follows the wacky misadventures of the Forgers, an eclectic found family that includes Anya, a young girl with mind-reading abilities; Loid, one of the world's most effective and dangerous spies; Yor, an earnest but absented-minded woman who is also a deadly assassin known as the Thorn Princess; and of course, Bond, a Great Pyrenees who developed precognitive powers after being subjected to many experiments. The story balances moments of intense action and intrigue with wholesome and often comedic moments between the four leads.
Fans Can Expect More Spy x Family This Year
Since its debut in March 2019, Spy x Family has garnered a massive fan following and has become one of the most popular modern manga series; over 29 million copies have sold globally as of December 2022 and Endo's story has appeared on the New York Time's Best Sellers list multiple times. Because of Spy x Family's high level of popularity, Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings) and CloverWorks (Fate/Grand Order - Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) produced an anime adaptation. The first season premiered in April 2022, and a second season and a tie-in movie were confirmed earlier this year.
The Forger's precognitive dog isn't the only character from Spy x Family that has inspired impressive instances of fan-made content. Beyond the Bond jewelry box, other recent examples include a muscle-bound Anya cosplay and a crossover fan art showing Loid and Anya riding an elevator with Aki and Power from Chainsaw Man.
Moreover, many merchandising companies are leveraging the hype and excitement for Spy x Family to turn a profit by creating unique and cute collectibles. Notably, tableware maker Noritake released an elegant tea set inspired by the series at the end of last year, and designer hat brand CA4LA recreated the beret Anya's wears to school back in October 2022.
VIZ Media distributes the Spy x Family manga in North America, and the anime adaptation by CloverWorks and Wit Studio is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu.
