The dual life of the Forger family gets highlighted in these Spy x Family key visuals, alongside a premiere window for the second season.
Spy x Family's official website recently shared the teaser posters, showing off the main cast ahead of the Season 2 premiere. The visuals in question show both sides of the main family, one depicting their secretive professions and the other presenting a tableau of their lives together. It also confirmed the October 2023 release window for the second installment of the popular comedy series.
Spy x Family's Visuals Tease the Anime's Duality
On one side is an opaque-colored background with three horizontal character profiles. It shows Yor in her Thorn Princess assassin outfit on the far left, Anya riding her dog Bond in the center and Loid in his iconic suit, acting as a spy, on the right. The other visual presents the flip side of their double life, switching to three landscape shots of the characters with a brighter color palette. At the top is Loid attempting to get an unruly Anya to study. Below is an illustration of Anya hugging Bond, and finally, at the bottom is the image of Yor cooking, with Bond and Anya looking terrified beside her.
Spy x Family, based on the manga by Tatsuya Endo, debuted in spring 2022 with its first cour before starting its second in the fall. The series was an instant hit, charming audiences with its unique humor, fun characters, a simple concept and wholesome family vibes. The anime is co-produced by two of the most well-respected anime production companies in Japan, those being Wit Studio (Attack on Titan, Ranking of Kings, Vinland Saga) and CloverWorks (Bocchi the Rock!, My Dress-Up Darling, Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai).
About Tatsuya Endo's Spy x Family
The series follows a spy who operates under the codename "Twilight." He must infiltrate the prestigious Eden Academy to get information on a political figure known as Donovan Desmond. To do this, he must adopt a child and create a family to attend the school. However, the family he makes is full of secrets as the daughter, Anya, is a telepath and his wife, Yor, moonlights as an assassin. The show follows the trio as they adjust to their life together while trying not to reveal their true identities.
Spy x Family fans can stream the anime on Crunchyroll in multiple languages, including Japanese, English, German, French and more. The franchise will also receive a movie tie-in named Spy x Family Code: White, which will premiere on Dec. 22, 2023.
