The official website for Spy x Family has announced the cast members and debut date for the manga's upcoming stage musical adaptation.

As reported by Anime News Network, the website released new visuals of the live-action counterparts of Loid Forger and Yor Forger. The musical cast two actors for each character: Win Morisaki and Hiroki Suzuki as Loid, and Fūka Yuzuki and Mirei Sasaki as Yor. As seen in the visuals, Loid wears a dashing suit and Yor is in an elegant outfit. Other cast members include Kurumu Okamiya and Tsubasa Takizawa as Yuri Briar, Nonoka Yamaguchi as Fiona Frost, Kento Kinouchi as Franky Franklin, Sōma Suzuki as Henry Henderson and Manato Asaka as Sylvia Sherwood.

The Forgers Take to the Stage

Announced in May 2022, the upcoming Spy x Family stage adaptation will run from March 8 to March 29, 2023, at Tokyo's Imperial Theatre. After its Imperial Theatre run, the musical will go on a nationwide tour at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Kobelco Grand Hall in April 2023, and the Hakataza Theater in Fukuoka in May 2023. Currently, there are no plans for the musical to tour outside of Japan.

TOHO will produce and G2 will direct the Spy x Family production. Additionally, Shuhei Kamimura will compose, arrange and direct the music. Despite recruiting most of the cast, the musical's official announcement revealed they were still looking for their live-action Anya and will hold auditions across Japan for the fan-favorite character. As of writing, Spy x Family hasn't officially confirmed who will portray Anya in the stage adaptation.

Tatsuya Endo's Spy x Family manga series began biweekly serialization in March 2019 on Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ application and website. As of Aug. 2022, Spy x Family has over 25 million copies in circulation. Due to its widespread popularity, CloverWorks and WIT Studio adapted the manga into an anime series, which first premiered on TV Tokyo and affiliated stations in April 2022. Crunchyroll aired the first half of the series.

The anime follows Master spy Twilight and his undercover mission to adopt a child and get married. However, Twilight is unaware his child is a telepath and his wife is an assassin. The complicated family eventually adopts a dog they fittingly name Bond. Ahead of its second cour premiere, TOHO animation released the series' upcoming opening credits sequence on its YouTube channel. Rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN sings the opening, titled "SOUVENIR."

Spy x Family will air the second cour on Crunchyroll beginning on Oct. 1.
