Spy x Family's Loid might try to deny it, but Anya has her dad wrapped around her finger, as shown in this artist's fan art.
An artist combined Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man in an adorably sweet illustration of the Forger family. Posted on their Twitter account, the artist ymsk (yamasuke040) drew a short interaction between Loid and Anya. The three Forgers appear to be shopping at a toy store, judging by the Bond plush and Pochita plush toys surrounding them. While Yor is carrying a box with various Halloween paraphernalia, Anya waves to get Loid's attention and whispers something in his ear. The next thing he knows, he's cosplaying as Chainsaw Man and Anya as Makima from Chainsaw Man. Shocked to his doggy core, Bond drops the Pochita plush in his mouth at the sight.
Loid Will Do Anything To Make Anya Happy
Loid doesn't appear to know how Anya convinced him to cosplay as the titular anti-hero, but he always had a soft spot for his adopted daughter in the anime and manga. In Episode 5, Loid reluctantly cosplayed as Bondman from Anya's favorite show Spy Wars, to reward her acceptance into Eden Academy. In a short mission from the manga, Loid decided to create his own episode from Spy Wars to help Anya's academic studies, complete with his own storyboard, sound effects and voice acting. Unfortunately, Anya’s reaction to her papa’s custom-made Spy Wars episode was chilly.
Spy x Family and Chainsaw Man have crossed paths before, most likely due to how both bestsellers are currently premiering in the fall. The Spy x Family voice actors took part in an ad to promote Chainsaw Man, with Anya giving her parents their respective Devil names and encouraging viewers to read the manga on the Shonen Jump+ app. In the ad, Anya fawns over Pochita, much to Bond's dismay.
Spy x Family, created by Tatsuya Endo, captured everyone's hearts with his story about three strangers who come together to be a family. Loid became a spy to create a world where children no longer had to cry, Yor's goal as the assassin Thorn Princess was to get rid of the evil in the world so that her loved ones could be safe and happy. Having spent the majority of her life in experimental facilities, Anya wants nothing more than a safe home and a family who accepts her for who she is. Animated by Wit Studio (Ranking of Kings) and CloverWorks (The Promised Neverland), Spy x Family received high TV ratings when it aired the first cour in April. The manga has sold over 26 million copies as of October.
Written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man follows Denji, an impoverished young man, whose life changes when his beloved pet Pochita sacrifices himself to save his life. Denji turns into Chainsaw Man, a fearsome Devil-human hybrid, by pulling a cord in his chest. After he meets Makima, Denji becomes a Public Safety Devil Hunter, a group whose job is to kill devils. Produced by MAPPA (Attack on Titan and Yuri!!! on Ice), Chainsaw Man premiered in October to positive reviews. The series won the Harvey Award for Best Manga two years in a row.
