Spy x Family's Damian Desmond has inspired his very cologne fragrance.
According to Comic Natalie, beginning on August 17, fans of the Tatsuya Endo found-family espionage series will be able to embody their inner over-privileged youth by purchasing the latest perfume from manufacturer primaniacs. Retailing for 6,600 yen (roughly $48), the scent features notes of jasmine and mandarin. It also includes subtle hints of bittersweet apple, reflecting Damian's tsundere tendencies.
Spy x Family's Yuri Will Also Have a Perfume
The new merchandise line from primaniacs will also have a fragrance inspired by Yuri, Yor's protective younger brother. Reflecting his ruthlessness and unwavering determination, his perfume smells like a combination of eucalyptus and patchouli. Yuri's scent will also come with a price tag of 6,600 yen, and both perfumes will be available for preorder on August 11.
Spy x Family has collaborated with many companies and merchandise manufacturers since the anime adaptation's premiere in April 2022. Recently, the franchise teamed up with Japan's #1 canned coffee brewer, Boss Coffee, to release a special line of caffeinated drinks to celebrate Father's Day. Moreover, Sideshow and Kotobukiya revealed an absolutely adorable figurine of Anya and Bond that sees the pink-haired child telepath and her faithful furry companion set off in search of adventure. The collectible stands just under 8" tall and retails for $150.
Endo began publishing his Spy x Family manga in Shueisha's Shōnen Jump+ in March 2019, and so far, the series has produced 11 volumes worth of content. The narrative follows the Forgers, a colorful found family that includes Anya, a young girl who can read minds; Loid, a skilled and dangerous spy; Yor, a caring woman who is secretly deadly assassin; and Bond, their Great Pyrenees with precognitive powers. Endo's plot strikes a surprising balance between moments of intense action and intrigue as well as comedic and wholesome scenes between the four leads.
With over 30 million copies in circulation around the world, Spy x Family stands as one of the best-selling manga series of all time alongside One's One-Punch Man and Natsuki Takaya's Fruit Basket. The title has also cracked the New York Times Bestsellers list for graphic books multiple times. Moreover, the anime adaptation has been equally successful; not only did Spy x Family win several categories at this year's Crunchyroll Anime Awards, including Best New Series and Best Supporting Character, but it was also one of the most pirated series in 2022.
