SPX announces 'War' theme for 2004 Anthology

SPX, North America's premier alternative comic-book festival, announcesthe theme of "War" for this year's installment its acclaimed annualanthology of cartoon and comic art.

The SPX anthology is an annual book that both serves as a showcase forcomics creators as well as a money-raising vehicle for the Comic BookLegal Defense Fund (http://www.cbldf.org). The SPX anthology is one ofthe few major anthologies in the American comic market that welcomesoutside submissions.

The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2004.

The three-day SPX, North America's premier alternative comic-bookfestival, returns to Bethesda, MD on October 1-3, 2004.

SPX 2004 will bring together more than 200 artists and publishers tomeet their readers, booksellers, distributors, and each other. Fanattendance is expected to surpass 2,000. SPX 2004 will be open to thepublic from 3pm until 8pm on Friday, 10/1; from 10am until 7pm onSaturday, 10/2 and from 11am until 5pm on Sunday, 10/3.
