The Last Podcast Network (LPN) announced a new podcast series inspired by the Dune book series.

Airing on Spotify, Deep Dives: Dune is a 12-part series that finds co-hosts Henry Zebrowski and Holden McNeely taking a deep dive into the world of Frank Herbert's sand-heavy sci-fi classic and its sequels.

According to a press release announcing the new podcast series, McNeely first read the Dune books at the suggestion of his co-host. "I soon got lost in an incredibly well-developed world and hero's journey that said more about the universe and our place in it than pretty much anything else I've ever read," he revealed.

An official synopsis for Deep Dives: Dune reads,

That's right: Last Podcast on the Left host Henry Zebrowski and Wizard and the Bruiser host Holden McNeely are coming together to take fans on an interstellar journey through Deep Dives: Dune. Listeners can expect this show to carry the same edgy comedic spin the duo are known for. "Deep Dives: Dune is made by the same powerful nerds who made Last Podcast on The Left and Wizard and the Bruiser," Henry says. "The lessons hidden inside the books have changed my life in ways that have made me more difficult to love, but easier for me to rule the galaxy!"

Herbert's Dune was first published in 1965 and was followed by five sequels. The release of the Deep Dives: Dune podcast comes ahead of Denis Villeneuve's Dune reboot being released in theaters and on HBO Max later this year.

Speaking about who should listen to the pod, McNeely added, "Listen to the podcast if you love Dune and, more importantly, if you've never been able to love it but wish you could."
