It's a good time to be a spy on the big screen. With Skyfall breaking box-office records, it's no surprise that more espionage films are in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Lawless) is looking to get in on the action as the star of the Ubisoft Motion Pictures adaptation of the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell video-game franchise.

Following the adventures of black-ops agent Sam Fisher, the six-game series focuses on stealth and Fisher's abilities to take down enemies without being detected. UMP, which was created in 2011, is also working on an Assassin's Creed film with New Line. Splinter Cell's script is by Black List writer Eric Singer.
