In celebration of its 15th anniversary, director Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli's critically-acclaimed animated film "Spirited Away" is returning to U.S. theaters this December.

Fathom Events, in partnership with GKIDS, are bringing back the Academy Award-winning film to over 400 movies theaters. The special event will only last two days - Sunday, December 4 at 12:00 p.m. (English dubbed version) and Monday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m. (English subtitled version), both local time dates. In addition to the announcement, the North American premiere of Studio Ghibili's animated short film, "Ghiblies: Episode 2," will show following "Spirited Away."

"Spirited Away" first debuted in Japan in 2001 and was released the following year in the United States. The movie follows ten-year-old Chihiro Ogino's journey after accidentally wandering into a magical world filled with witches, dragons and spirits. Many fans and critics alike consider the film to be the best animated feature of all time.
