Spielberg's 'Ready Player One' Moves to Avoid 'Star Wars: Episode VIII'

Steven Spielberg's "Ready Player One" is steering clear of "Star Wars: Episode VIII."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has moved the adaptation of Ernest Cline’s 2011 dystopian novel from Dec. 15, 2017, to March 30, 2018. Just last month, Disney shuffled the "Star Wars" sequel from Memorial Day weekend in 2017 to Dec. 15.

"Ready Player One" is a sci-fi adventure that centers on Wade Watts, a teenager who plugs into a virtual world called OASIS. When the game’s creator dies, Wade is swept up in a treasure hunt to acquire the designer’s fortune.
