With Sony and Marvel producing the next Spider-Man game for the PS5, fans have already started to speculate as to which characters could be featured in the exciting new outing for Miles Morales. The character has a great host of supporting players in his own corner of the universe.

While the original Spider-Man game did include some great supporting characters, it would be interesting to see an even more diverse array of secondary heroes and allies for Miles to interact with. Whether they are carried over from the first game, have familial or personal relationships with Miles, or are even taken straight out of the comics, there's a lot of great options.

10 Peter Parker

Peter Parker and Miles Morales are very different. Their interactions have already had an undertone of a student and a mentor and they are both in very different stages of their life.

It would be interesting to have the two characters compared throughout this second game. Peter is a really big element of Miles' story and of course it would be perfect to see a superhero team up between the two.

9 Gwen Stacy

Gwen Stacy has had an established relationship on screen with Miles Morales in Into The Spider-Verse. These characters bounce off of each other extremely well.

It would be great to see this relationship brought into the gamerverse that's being created. Not only would fans love to see Ghost-Spider, but there's a really touching friendship between these two, in the middle of loss and heroism.

8 Madame Web

If the game is going to include elements of the Spider-Verse then Madame Web is a critical component to that. However, she could just serve as a great supporting character, guiding Miles on his journey.

She's been instrumental on Peter's own path to greatness and with so much knowledge of the different spider based heroes over the years, she could provide some brilliant insights and perhaps even teases to other characters.

7 Doctor Connors

It appears from the PS4 game that Doctor Connors has already become the Lizard in the past. But, what would be interesting is to see Miles create a relationship with him, without being aware of his alter-ego.

This could create conflict between himself and Peter, who would no longer trust the experimental scientist. It would also be a bit of a spin on what happened with Doctor Octopus in the original game.

6 Lyle Dutcher

Since Miles will likely still be interacting with his school, he needs some kind of teacher to go up against. Dutcher is the perfect supporting character to fill this role.

He has a personal vendetta against Miles for reasons that aren't too clear. But he also has the ultimate respect for Spider-Man. It will be a funny paradox and one that creates some personal conflict as well as some moments of humorous relief.

5 Sam Alexander

Sam Alexander eventually grows up to become a version of Nova. With a father that served in the Nova Corps, he is destined for great things. He's a close friend to Miles and the two have worked together in the Champions.

Sam Alexander could be a great friend to Miles, before he ever gains his powers. This could create spin-off games but really become about the core relationship, as the two slowly learn to become heroes alongside one another.

4 Tiana Toomes

If the Toomes name sounds familiar, it's because Tiana is actually the granddaughter of the Vulture. Using his technology for good, she becomes the vigilante known as Starling.

Tiana and Miles have become friends on the battlefield and indeed off of it as well. She became resentful when Spider-Man did not reveal his secret identity after she outed herself though. It could be a compelling personal relationship to explore in the game.

3 Ganke Lee

Ganke Lee might be known to Spider-Man fans as the basis for the MCU character Ned Leeds. The two share a lot of similarities and is really one of Miles' best friends.

He also featured in Into The Spider-Verse and could be nicknamed the guy in the chair for this Spider-Man. A character like that is crucial to the mechanics of any video game, so he'd have a great role to play.

2 Rio Morales

Rio Morales is Miles' grieving mother. She briefly featured throughout the first game but will become a far more important part of the player's lives for the sequel.

She is essentially the Aunt May of the series. She's a character that Miles will always have to worry about and there's sure to be a problem over whether he should really reveal his identity to her.

1 Agent Coulson

Agent Coulson is of course famous in the MCU, but he's also a part of the comic series and even some animated Spider-Man shows. He could fill a completely different role in this game.

Miles will need some kind of connection to an official organisation. He may want to distance himself from the police because of his father and he doesn't have a journalist girlfriend like Peter. Agent Coulson could be that man on the sidelines therefore, helping him with intel and secretive missions.
