Former Amazing Spider-Man artist Ryan Ottley shared some of his earliest design work on Kindred, the deadly antagonist he created alongside writer Nick Spencer.Ottley posted the sketches on Twitter account, writing, "My initial designs for Kindred, the big bad villain in current ASM. These designs showcase Kindred with the same centipede-wielding, demonic look he's been known for since his debut early on in the comic series. The mysterious antagonist with a penchant for making Peter Parker's life a living nightmare possesses many disastrous powers, such as an ability to resurrect the dead, including former deceased Spider-Man villains Mysterio and Sin-Eater, as well as a gruesome expertise for controlling insects and pests and a skill that allows him to enter and manipulate his enemies' dreams.

Recently, Ottley announced his departure as the main artist on the Amazing Spider-Man series, claiming he simply wanted to work on other projects after being allowed the long-term pleasure of contributing to his favorite childhood comic book title. However, Ottley did tease that his work with Marvel has yet to finish, adding, "I will be back at Marvel soon on a new project I'm very excited about! Currently doing pre-production designs."
