Fresh off its win at the Oscars for Best Animated Feature, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is swinging back into theaters this weekend. The news came via co-writer/co-director Rodney Rothman on Twitter. According to Rothman, Into the Spider-Verse will not just get a re-release in theaters this weekend but it will arrive on "tons of IMAX screens."

While the film won't be available everywhere in IMAX, many theaters are bringing it back at least in a standard format screening. With that said, it's still another chance to get to see Miles Morales swing into action on the big screen.

Speaking of the aforementioned Academy Awards, another Marvel film, Black Panther, won the first Oscars in the history of Marvel Studios for Best Costume Design and Best Production Design, as well as Best Original Music Score for Ludwig Goransson. However, while that was a first for the MCU, Sony's Into the Spider-Verse won the big one in the animated movie category. This was the second Oscar win for a Marvel animated film, with the first being 2014's Big Hero 6. Nevertheless, while both Into the Spider-Verse and Big Hero 6 are based on Marvel properties, the latter was a Disney film.
