Doctor Octopus is one of the most fearsome foes in Spider-Man's rogues gallery. This evil doctor is a direct mirror of what Peter Parker could be if he let the weight of the world corrupt him. However, fans got a vision at Doctor Octopus if he learned the lessons that Peter did in his own spinoff series, Superior Spider-Man.

However, this new Spider-Man wasn't just superior in name but went out to become superior in every way possible. This extended even to the classic costume of the web-slinger.

10 IT PROTECTS HIM FROM MIND-SWAP

The Doctor made sure that his suit did something that the original Spidey never thought of. He added some special plating to keep his mind protected incase anyone decided they wanted to swap minds with him.

This was done by adding some Carbonadium plating to the mask, helmet style. This radioactive metal is stringer than steal but cheaper and easier to morph than Adamantium. It is the metal used in Omega Red's coils as well as the metal used to create Doc Ock's tentacles and Deadpool's katana blades.

9 IT CONTROLS ALL OF HIS GADGETS THROUGH ONE BUTTON

The original version of the Superior Spider-Suit has a single button that serves as a remote activation switch for each of the Doctor's gadgets used in his various escapades protecting his city.

Where is this button one might ask? Well, the answer is much more simple than anyone would expect. The spider symbol on his chest is the button which actually would cause a bit of an issue if he were to be immobilized.

8 THE SECOND VERSION OF THE SUIT ACTUALLY UPGRADED HIS TALONS

While it's obvious that the first suit from this new Superior Spider-Man made it a point to have talons installed into the fingers of the suit for greater combat abilities, it might not be as obvious that the Superior Spider-Suit 2.0 gave these talons a bit of an upgrade.

These new talons were enlarged in the new suit's version which do more damage. There were also nano-spider-tracers installed that eject which also makes the suit able to paralyze the enemy scratched by them.

7 THE SUIT IS EQUIPPED TO DEAL WITH SYMBIOTES

To prepare to take care of Agent Venom and his symbiote suit, Doctor Otto Octavius created some new wrist devices for his new body. While these weren't new to the Superior Spidey they definitely had some new upgrades.

Added to these devices were flamethrowers and sonic webbing, two things that the symbiote alien is weak to.

6 THE SUIT IS EQUIPPED WITH LASER BEAMS

One thing that no one thought would be a part of the Spider-Man arsenal is lasers. Well, this is no average Spider-Man. This is a Superior Spider-Man, and he's ready for absolutely anything.

This was introduced with the Superior Spider-Suit MK.III, where the suit was shown to have three different laser units attached.

5 THE SUIT CAN HACK THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

Not only does this suit protect the mind of the new Spider-Man, but it can also take on the mind of anyone that crosses this new Spider-Man.

The nerve hacking technology that Octopus installed in this new suit is able to stimulate the nervous system. This makes him able to beam messages into different people's aural nerves.

4 IN ANOTHER UNIVERSE IT WASN'T DESIGNED BY DOC OCK

In Earth 199999, which is the Marvel Cinematic Universe reality, Spider-Man's Superior outfit actually wasn't a creation of the evil Doctor but by Tony Stark.

In Spider-Man: Far From Home fans are shown Tony Starks different designs for a new Spidey suit from before he passed. One of these suits was the Superior suit.

3 THE SECOND SUIT IS A REDESIGN FROM ALEX ROSS

Famed comic artist Alex Ross actually created a few designs for the original Sam Raimi Spider-Man film's suit.

While this design wasn't used in the film it actually gained a new life as the second version of the Superior Spider-Man's suit. This film is actually a direct redesign of this unused film suit design.

2 THE COLORS WEREN'T CHANGED FOR STYLE

Superior Spider-Man doesn't throw away the bright red and blue colors on the classic tights for no reason. Otto actually had intentions for switching things up.

The colors were changed to better suit his heroic style. The black and darker red were brought in to make this new Spidey look much more fearsome and aggressive.

1 THE FAR FROM HOME OUTFIT HAS A LOT IN COMMON WITH THE FIRST SUPERIOR OUTFIT

The suit that Peter designed from the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home actually has a ton in common with the first Superior Spider-Man costume.

Both have the classic red and eyes but with the black secondary color, as well as a smaller chest spider and very similar advanced technology installed into the suit.
