WARNING: Spoilers for Spider-Woman #13, by Karla Pacheco, Pere Perez, Frank D'Armata and VC's Travis Lanham, on sale now.

Jessica Drew's personal life has fallen into shambles recently, with the superhero single mom now having to take care of her son Gerry alone after the recent breakup with her longtime boyfriend. Struggling to keep with the immense responsibilities of being a superhero and a mother, Spider-Woman has taken her frustrations out on the supervillain community that continues to plague New York City. And as Spider-Woman goes on a crimefighting rampage, the superhero has just kickstarted a grudge with one of Daredevil's deadliest foes: Lady Bullseye.

Fresh off her breakup, Spider-Woman fights supervillains everywhere from the subway tunnels beneath the city to the Manhattan skyline, taking on low-level threats like Fireball and Bruiser. Spider-Woman's fight spills out to include Lady Bullseye, who was secretly working with the musclebound supervillain on a heist. While Spider-Woman and Lady Bullseye haven't crossed paths since Jessica was a member of the Secret Avengers, it's clear there is still no love lost between the two women as they take their battle to the skies. Clinging to a private jet, Lady Bullseye easily keeps up with Jessica thanks to her handy jetpack.

Spider-Woman Lady Bullseye

Lady Bullseye was created by Ed Brubaker, Marko Djurdjevic and Clay Mann in 2008's Daredevil #111 as a young woman inspired by the original Bullseye after he brutally murdered her yakuza tormentors. Trained to become a supremely lethal assassin by the Hand, Lady Bullseye was expelled from the ninja cult when she attempted to take control of it and would resurface to menace the Man Without Fear on multiple occasions. Recently, Lady Bullseye reappeared to take on Iron Fist, employing an army of undead ninjas to confront the martial artist as he moved to defend a threat endangering all Eight Capital Cities of Heaven and their respective guardian dragons.

With Spider-Woman and Lady Bullseye battling in the skies above New York, Jessica eventually emerges triumphant, gaining the upper hand at the high altitude and damaging the supervillain's jetpack with her bioelectric blast. Thousands of feet in the air, Jessica then dismisses her opponent, assuming she has just enough power left to make it to the ground safely. For a superhero, this is an incredibly callous stance but one that underscores how angry and darker Jessica has become lately, even before she was dumped by her now ex-boyfriend Roger. And while Lady Bullseye has likely survived this high altitude showdown, she won't soon forget this humiliation any time soon, setting the stage for a violent vendetta between the two women moving forward.

Jessica's friends have begun to take notice of how reckless and angry she has become, particularly in her superhero endeavors. Without Roger in her life and having to take care of her young son Gerry alone, Jessica Drew is feeling a bit more unfocused than usual, which often manifests in particularly brutal brawls. Spider-Woman has just made a powerful enemy in Lady Bullseye and it may be the one reckless move Jessica can't afford to make, given the lengths the supervillain previously made to make Matt Murdock's life a living hell. Having alienated herself from some of the superhero community, Jessica may be charging into this feud without the valuable support she needs.
