In Dan Slott's Spider-Verse storyline, Peter Parker worked alongside Spider-Men and Spider-Women from other dimensions to fight Morlun and the Inheritors, who hunted and fed on those who carried the Spider-Totem. The event would serve as the introduction to new incarnations of Spider-Man, and Spider-Punk -- also known as the Anarchic Spider-Man -- would become a fan-favorite character. Spider-Punk went on to cameo in television series and video games, and now he is the latest Spider-Pop Funko! figure.

Debuting in 2015's Amazing Spider-Man #10 by Dan Slott and Olivier Coipel, Spider-Punk is the Spider-Man from Earth-138. Hobart "Hobie" Brown, a homeless teenager, gained his spider powers from a spider irradiated by President Norman Osborn's toxic waste dumping. Combining Spider-Man's iconic red-and-blue, web-patterned costume with jeans, a jacket, a matching guitar and a Mohawk made of metal spikes, Spider-Punk became an all-punk hero who successfully led a rebellion against the corrupt President and his V.E.N.O.M troops.

After he killed Osborn and unmasked himself before the assembled crowd, he was recruited to join the Spiders' battle against the Inheritors. He would much later join the Web Warriors, a team of Spider-people tasked to patrolling the multiverse and protecting worlds who lost their Spider-Totems.

Spider-Punk also played a prominent role in Spider-Geddon, working alongside Otto Octavius' Superior Spider-Man and other Spiders in their latest battle with the Inheritors, where he revealed he hates the nickname "Spider-Punk" as given to him by the MC2 Spider-Woman. He also appeared in the Ultimate Spider-Man series and as a playable character both in the Spider-Man Unlimited game and the popular Spider-Man video game for PlayStation 4.

This PREVIEWS-exclusive Spider-Funko is limited to a run of only 20,000 units priced at $11.99. It will be available for pre-order at comic shops, with a release date of March 27th, 2019.
