With Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse's wide release a little over two weeks away, a new clip from the upcoming animated film shows Peter Parker taking on a mentor role to young, alternate dimension Miles Morales.As the crime-fighting duo try to exit a mysterious lab with an ominous black case, they accidentally find themselves in a cafeteria full of gun-toting henchmen in the middle of breakfast. While Miles initially attempts to flee on foot, Peter coaches his young counterpart on the finer points of webslinging to evade their pursuers.

"Everybody knows that the best way to learn is under intense, life-threatening pressure!" shouts the older superhero.

As the duo take to the trees with the case in tow, they find their lesson suddenly cut short by the arrival of another alternate universe wall-crawler: Spider-Gwen.

Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse stars Shameik Moore, Brian Tyree Henry, Jake Johnson, Mahershala Ali, Hailee Steinfeld, Liev Schreiber, Luna Lauren Velez, Lily Tomlin, Nicolas Cage, John Mulaney, and Kimiko Glenn. The film opens on December 14.
