Years before half the universe was wiped out and restored, Spider-Man: Homecoming saw Avengers Tower sold to a mysterious buyer. The identity of the tower's new owner has never been revealed, but Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland recently teased that he knows who it is.In an interview with Phase Zero, Holland was asked outright about who bought Avengers Tower. While it appeared that Holland initially forgot about the event, he exclaimed, "Actually I do know who bought Avengers Tower!" and seemingly whispered the answer in co-star Zendaya's ear.RELATED: Spider-Man: International Theaters Use No Way Home Fan Art to Promote the Film

Avengers Tower served as the base for the eponymous superhero team following the events of 2012's Avengers. Avengers: Age of Ultron introduced a new facility, The Avengers Compound, which was formerly a warehouse owned by Stark Industries, revamped to house a training facility for new superheroes. In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Happy Hogan was shown to be dealing with a huge move-- transporting all of the equipment from Avengers Tower, presumably to the Avengers Compound. It was during this move that Vulture attempted to steal remnants from the Chitauri invasion, Stark tech and more, though he was ultimately thwarted by Spider-Man.

The new owner of Avengers Tower has thus far never been revealed, though there are several theories surrounding the building's sale, all of which tie into possible Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Some of the more prominent theories suggest that either Kingpin or Oscorp may have bought the building, while others suggest that it will come to be owned by the Fantastic Four. No official details have yet been announced, but the recent interview with Holland suggests that Marvel Studios does have plans for the building.

Holland will next appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will see a number of characters from across several different franchises brought into the MCU through the multiverse, if only temporarily. That includes Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy -- from which audiences will see the return of Alfred Molina's Doc Ock and Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin and Sandman -- and the Amazing Spider-Man films, which introduced Jamie Foxx's Electro and the Lizard.

While there is speculation that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will reprise their roles, fueled by the supposed leak of stills and behind-the-scenes clips from the upcoming film, there has been no official confirmation and Garfield has denied his involvement.
