Insomniac Games' Spider-Man on the PlayStation 4 continues to rack up the accolades and awards at the year's end, this time from the Gamers' Choice Awards.

This year's awards ceremony was kicked off by a performance by KISS with a tribute to legendary comic creator Stan Lee, who passed away last month, for his many contributions to pop culture which heavily informed the modern video game industry. Other honorees included Fortnite, Dragon Ball FighterZ, and Monster Hunter: World.

Marvel's Spider-Man was released back in September as a PlayStation 4 exclusive title to widespread critical acclaim and commercial success as one of the best-selling games of the year. Since then, it has released two DLC story expansions with a third expansion, titled "Silver Linings," expected to be released sometime later this month as part of the "City That Never Sleeps" season of story DLC.
