Although Spider-Man is Marvel's most popular character, not all of his amazing villains have yet made it onto the big screen. Other than DC's Batman, Spider-Man has the best rogues gallery of any superhero ever.

In the coming few decades, it is likely that many of these villains will be included on the big screen. After all, Marvel can't keep rehashing the same old villains forever. Especially when the bad guys on this list are so iconic.

10 The Enforcers

This team of three mobsters was a pain in Spider-Man's side for quite some time early in the character's comic book history. Often hired out by Big Man, these baddies were more than a handful for Spidey.

The three members of the Enforcers are Fancy Dan, Ox, and Montana. Each one of these villains can harass Spidey in their own unique way. Fancy Dan with his martial arts and quick agility, Ox with his incredible strength, and Montana with his trusty lasso and incredible skill with it.

9 Man-Wolf

J. Jonah Jameson's son, John Jameson, has quite a twisted history within the Spider-Man lore.  After finding, and accidentally bonding, with a mysterious, magical gem, John Jameson became the villain known as Man-Wolf.

J. Jonah Jameson is now one of the most iconic cinematic Spider-Man characters thanks to the wonderful portrayal given by J.K. Simmons. Having a movie where Jameson is emotionally tied to the villain, his son, would be something new and exciting for the Spider-Man franchise.

8 Hammerhead

Adamantium Rage Hammerhead

This mob boss and his head of steel have caused Spidey quite a few problems over the past several decades. Hammerhead might not fit the usual M.O. of Spider-Man villains, who typically are animal-themed, but he is nonetheless just as good as the rest of them.

In the DLC of Spider-Man PS4, Hammerhead served as the primary antagonist. For any and every fan who thought that Hammerhead could make for a good on-screen supervillain, his appearance in the game removed all doubts. He would be a great big bad.

7 Hydro-Man

In a way, Moris Bench has appeared in a Spider-Man movie -- but not really. In Spider-Man: Far From Home, one of the monsters that Mysterio creates is based on Hyrdo-Man from the comics. However, it isn't any more than an illusion, while Hydro-Man in the comics is a very real character.

If the Spider-Man movies ever manage to debut a version of the Sinister Six on screen, Hydro-Man would be a great addition to the team. His powers are unique to any other Spidey villain. That would really help him stand out.

6 Mister Negative

Marvel Mister Negative Comic

While the vast majority of great Spider-Man villains were created decades ago, there are a select few who debuted in recent years that have stuck out as good additions to Spidey's list of rogues. Mister Negative is one of these villains.

As one of the primary antagonists in the Spider-Man PS4 game, Mister Negative showed that he had the character depth necessary to be a great primary antagonist for any live-action interpretation. That’s not even mentioning the villain's powers, which are incredibly visually unique and pose a huge obstacle for Spider-Man to overcome.

5 Tombstone

Tombstone is another crime boss that Spider-Man has had to face off with in the comics. Unlike many of the others, however, he has incredible superstrength and indestructible skin, making him quite the formidable opponent for Spidey to spar with both intellectually and physically.

In the animated show, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Tombstone served as a replacement for Kingpin when the latter was not allowed to appear in the series. Tombstone was a great replacement and if he played the same role in a blockbuster movie he’d likely be equally compelling.

4 Chameleon

The first supervillain that Spider-Man faced off against in the Marvel comic books was none other than the Chameleon. A master of disguise, Chameleon didn't have the flashiest of powers but nonetheless he continues to prove himself as one of Spidey's greatest enemies.

A movie with Chameleon as the primary antagonist would certainly be unconventional. That’s exactly why it would work because superhero movies nowadays are all but required to break the formula and try something new.

3 Hobgoblin

Hobgoblin Smashing Through Glass On His Glider

For a long stretch during the 1970s, the Hobgoblin was actually Spider-Man's primary antagonist. Stealing the technology that Norman Osborn used to become the Green Gobin, Hobgoblin proved to be just as formidable a foe in almost every way.

Although the MCU has yet to debut its version of the Green Goblin, it would be fun if fans also got to see the Hobgoblin pop up in this universe. Ned Leeds, Peter’s best friend in the movies, was actually one of the Hobgoblins in the comics, so maybe he could have a heel turn.

2 Scorpion

Hoping to find a solution to his bug problem, J. Jonah Jameson enlisted the help of private detective Mac Gargan. Jameson bankrolled an experiment that gave Gargan incredible Scorpion-like powers, but instead of using them for good, Gargan became one of the Marvel Universe's most dangerous supervillains.

In nature, Scorpions hunt spiders. They are stronger than their arachnid counterparts. This was why Jameson and Gargan wanted to recreate the powers of a scorpion for Gargan’s transformations. It makes him the perfect specimen to take on a superhuman with spider powers.

1 Kraven the Hunter

Kraven the Hunter hunting Venom

Kraven the Hunter is by far the best Spider-Man villain that has yet to make it to the big screen. Rumor has it that Kraven will be the primary antag0nist in the MCU's Spider-Man threequel, but those reports have yet to be confirmed.

Throughout his life, Kraven was always searching for the next greatest hunt to conquer. In the end, to him, there was no greater target than Spider-Man himself. Unfortunately for the supervillain, he was never truly successful though he's come closer than most of Spidey's villains.
