Andrew Garfield and Gemma Arterton are joining forces to star together in Capa, director Michael Mann's adaptation of Susana Fortes' novel Waiting for Robert Capa. The story focuses on the two-year romance between war photographers Gerda Taro and Robert Capa, both of whom died during combat.
The news comes from Arterton herself, who told Total Film:
“I’m attached to about nine projects but I’m not sure which one’s I’m allowed to talk about. But I’m aiming for even more diversity. Capa is confirmed, so I should be working with your hottest actor, Andy Garfield!”
Both Garfield and Arterton are wrapping up the biggest year in their separate careers to date, with films like The Social Network, Never Let Me Go, Prince of Persia and Clash of the Titans between them. Garfield, of course, is on tap to star as Peter Parker in the forthcoming Spider-Man reboot. With their powers combined under Mann's watchful eye, it's very safe to say that Capo is a project to keep on your radar in the coming weeks and months.
