Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man will head out to sea as Disney Cruise Line overhauls the Disney Wonder this fall, adding a Marvel Super Hero Academy.

A licensing deal with Universal Studios prevents the Marvel characters from appearing at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, leaving Disney to stake out new territories, such as its cruise line. The flagship Disney Magic introduced its own Marvel's Avengers Academy in 2013 -- without the wall-crawler -- providing a children's activity center designed to resemble the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

Disney Wonder's the Oceaneer Club will be gutted to make room not only for the Marvel Super Hero Academy, but also the Frozen-themed Frozen Adventures, Club Disney Junior and the Toy Story-themed Andy's Room.

Spider-Man will serve as a guide in the Super Hero Academy, helping children to " hone their spider senses by perfecting their skills of reflex, speed and sharp minds." Other Marvel heroes will interact with guests via a large digital display. Visitors will also be able to see Captain America's World War II shield, Iron Man's helmet, Spider-Man's web-shooters and Black Widow's gauntlets.

In addition to changes to the Oceaneer Club, the Disney Wonder will remodel its Parrot Cay restaurant, transforming it into Tiana's Place, inspired by Disney's The Princess and the Frog.

The ship will head into dry dock in September for its six-week overhaul.
