Carlie Cooper's part in Peter Parker's life is an interesting one. She was a forensic scientist and part of the NYPD and the daughter of one of Mysterio's old minions, Ray Cooper. She met Peter when her best friend, Lily Hollister, began dating Harry Osborn.

After a time, she became attracted to Peter, and the two struck up a romantic relationship. Unfortunately, this led to more misery for Carlie, as she was eventually poisoned with Green Goblin's serum and became the villainous Monster for a time. However, she was eventually cured and even learned Peter was Spider-Man. However, this proved to be too much of a strain for her, and she broke things off with Peter.

9 Anna Maria Marconi Had An Interesting History With Spider-Man

Anna Maria Marconi was Peter Parker's girlfriend for a time, but this was when Otto Octavius had implanted his consciousness in Peter Parker's body. They met at Empire State University, and the two fell so deeply in love that Otto had plans to propose to Anna Maria.

However, Peter's consciousness returned before that could happen, and he explained everything to Anna Maria and, ultimately, dumped her.

8 Mary Jane Watson Was An Actress/Model And Still Fell For Parker

Everyone knows Mary Jane Watson is Spider-Man's main love interest, but it can't be understated how surprising this is considering the nerd/jock dichotomy that was so deeply ingrained in early Amazing Spider-Man comic books.

Mary Jane was a model and later an actress, but she still fell for Geeky Peter Parker despite his lack of social skills and deep-seated inferiority complex. Despite all of that, they made it work for years and even got married.

At one point, Peter thought MJ had died in an explosion, and he fell into a depression. However, a ghost of the past returned in the form of Jill Stacy, cousin of the late Gwen Stacy.

The two dated for a time, but Jill respectfully stepped out of the way when Peter discovered that Mary Jane was still alive and saved her from a villain known as the Stalker.

Cindy Moon was bitten by the same radioactive spider bit Peter, but she was locked away by Ezekiel Sims when he feared that Cindy would become the target of the interdimensional vampire known as Morlun.

Spider-Man discovered Cindy's existence after the Orb unleashed the deepest secrets of the hero community to the world using one of the eyes of the Uatu the Watcher. Spider-Man released her, and the two struck up a fiery romantic relationship for a time afterward. At the time, Peter still lived with Anna Maria Marconi, so this was pretty awkward. However, the fire died quickly, and Silk had to find her own place in the world.

5 Mercenary Silver Sable Found Herself Attracted To Peter Parker

The mercenary known as Silver Sable has been both friend and foe to Spider-Man throughout the years, but this apparently was partially covering up the feelings she had developed for Spider-Man.

She revealed them to Peter during the Ends of the Earth story (which actually led to Doctor Octopus putting his mind inside Peter's body). However, Silver Sable sacrificed herself to save the day shortly after admitting her feelings for Spidey.

4 X-Man Kitty Pryde Fell For Spider-Man In The Ultimate Universe

This isn't from the Earth-616 canon, but it's still a fairly shocking person to have fallen for Peter Parker. Kitty Pryde of the X-Men in the Ultimate Universe (Eart-1610). This began shortly after Peter Parker broke up with Mary Jane in that universe, and the relationship between Kitty and Peter actually lasted quite some time.

However, it ended with the death of Peter Parker (and was replaced as Spider-Man by the famous Miles Morales). Kitty even went so far as to picture what her life with Peter could have been like had he not perished.

3 Super-Spy And Avenger Mockingbird Caught The Parker Bug

Another spy who fell for Peter Parker and one of his more recent girlfriends, Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird, dated Spider-Man for a time. Peter even revealed his secret identity to the Avenger. They became close when Peter headed Parker Industries and began working often with S.H.I.E.L.D. through Mockingbird as the liaison.

However, after Parker Industries crashed, Peter had to move in with Bobbi. His self-pity, reluctance to try to move on with his life, and other issues led to Mockingbird breaking up with Peter.

2 Captain Marvel Crushed On Spider-Man When She Was Still Ms. Marvel

Spider-Man and Carol Danvers, then still going by Ms. Marvel began showing an interest in one another while Spider-Man was an Avenger. They even went on a date, and Peter revealed his secret identity to her.

This didn't advance much further than that, though Carol really did have some strong feelings for Peter.

1 Jessica Jones Had A Big Crush On Peter Parker In High School

Perhaps the most shocking character to have had an interest in Peter Parker is the PI and owner of Alias Investigations, Jessica Jones. Her name was Jessica Campbell back then, as this was before her family died and she was adopted. Jones was retroactively said to have been a background character in Amazing Spider-Man #4 from 1963.

Jessica Jones moved on from this fairly quickly after the tragedy that befell her family, as she had bigger things to concern herself with. She even recognized Peter Parker when he revealed his secret identity to the New Avengers.
