Silk Max Psychiatrist

The pressure of her numerous responsibilities has begun to weigh heavily on Cindy lately and she continues to meet with her therapist to help acclimate into modern society after spending years isolated in a remote bunker. Recently, Cindy discovered that Saya was linked to some high-profile gangland murders in the heart of Queens. Attacked by gunmen, Cindy finds strange technological implants manufactured by Fujinet, Saya's tech company. In the face of this investigation and the mounting stress from her additional duties at Jameson's company, Cindy looks forward to confiding in her therapist Doctor Sinclair only to discover she's been replaced by a handsome young man named Max.

Even in their first meeting, Cindy is quite taken with the attractive doctor and reasons that, since Sinclair trusted Max with her patients, she can trust him too. Cindy shares her suspicions that Saya is behind the murders and departs, happy at the friendly, welcoming figure now providing her therapy sessions. However, unbeknownst to Cindy, Max is a figure nicknamed Brother Bear working directly for Saya. Brother Bear confirms that Cindy is on to Saya while implying he may be family or family friends with Saya herself. Saya is unfazed that Cindy is on to her, not disclosing that she knows if she's a superhero or simply an investigative reporter.

Prior to this, Cindy's biggest love interest was fellow superhero and old high school classmate Peter Parker. Because both Cindy and Peter were bitten by the same radioactive spider, this meant to the two were forever linked on a totemic level. This made them physically attracted to one another, but the two were able to resist this attraction temporarily. Eventually, Cindy became preoccupied as a member of the Agents of Atlas, defending Asia from all sorts of overwhelming threats under the leadership of Jimmy Woo and Amadeus Cho.

Silk doesn't have the benefit of continuing her investigation of Saya Ishii and her rise to power without the aspiring crime lord aware that Cindy is on to her. With Saya already demonstrating a willingness to kill those that get in her way, Cindy and her brother are both in danger of being eliminated. While Manhattan is experiencing its own struggle for control amongst the various criminal syndicates, Saya is moving to take control of Queens. And with ravenous monsters, cutting-edge technology and a vast network of well-connected associates. Saya knows just how to get Cindy Moon to lower her guard and, with the unaware Cindy sharing her secrets, she has just moved to the top of Saya's hit list.
