One reoccurring theme among alternate universe stories is the children. If our favorite heroes and villains grew older and got married, would they have kids? What would those children be like? Here are Marvel's ten best alternate universe children.

10 Spiderling

During 2015's Secret Wars, a new reality was created where Spider-Man and Mary Jane had a daughter. Named Anna-May Parker, this child would go on to inherit her father's abilities and fight alongside both parents as the hero Spiderling.

Fans disappointed by the events of Spider-Man: One More Day could not have been happier to see the Parker family reunited. Spiderling is now one of the more popular of Spider-Man's many alternate universe children.

9 Raze Darkholme

Raze X-Men Battle of the Atom Stuart Immonen

Mix Wolverine with Mystique and what do you get? Raze. The son of both prominent mutant leaders Raze inherited his mother's shapeshifting powers along with the claws, healing, and enhanced senses of his father. This deadly combination makes Raze one of the most formidable mutant killers that the X-Men have ever run up against.

Although he was born in an alternate universe, Raze made his way to the mainstream Marvel reality along with his team of future X-Men that turned out to actually be a new Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Raze has remained in the mainstream Marvel world and continues to be one of its greatest threats.

8 Crusader

In a very intriguing issue of Marvel's What If? line of comics, all of Marvel's heroes were left stranded on Battleworld after the events of the Secret Wars. Over time, many of said heroes grow closer and couple up. Captain America and Rogue actually became lovers and had a child named Sarah Rodgers. Many of the other heroes fathered children as well.

Sarah Rodgers would grow up and assume the alter ego, Crusader. When the original heroes finally found a way back home, Uatu appeared and warned them against it. Although they were convinced, Crusader and the original heroes' other children decided to go to Earth. They find the planet ruled over by Sentinels and vow to save humanity as a new team of Avengers.

7 Felicity Hardy

The MC2 Universe is one chalked full of old Marvel heroes and their children. In this alternate universe, Peter Parker's daughter is Spider-Girl. Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat, has given up her life of thievery and settled down with Peter's old bully Flash Thompson.

Felicia and Flash's daughter, Felicity, wants nothing more than to be a superhero. Her idol is Spider-Girl. So, the young girl dons a recreation of the original Scarlet Spider outfit and seeks out her hero, hoping to be a sidekick. Due to her lack of powers, Felicity doesn't stay in the superhero game for too long due to a couple of near-death experiences.

6 David Richards

Franklin Richards, son of Reed Richards, is one of the most powerful mutants in the universe. Rachel Summers is another powerful mutant with ties to the Phoenix Force. In one alternate universe, those two had a child who would become more powerful than either of them.

David Richards was destined for greatness. He was not only the strongest mutant in his reality, but there is also no doubt that his power exceeds that of anyone in almost any other universe. As one might expect, David becomes power-hungry and seeks to rule over Earth. This lead to his death at the hands of his longtime mentor, Sabertooth.

5 Rachel Summers

The daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey, in terms of mutant power Rachel took after her mother. In addition to that, Rachel had a few additional abilities including but not limited to limited time manipulation. One of the best, and in many ways worse, abilities Rachel inherited from her mother was a strong connection to the Phoenix Force.

Much like the previously discussed Raze, Rachel also made her way into mainstream reality. In this case, however, Rachel did so as an ally. She went on to become an important member of the X-Men responsible for saving their team, along with the rest of the world, several times.

4 Darkdevil

Another young hero from the MC2 Universe, Darkdevil is a bit of a cult favorite. Reilly Tyne, the son of Ben Reilly (Spider-Man's clone aka the Scarlet Spider), inherited many of the powers of his father. One thing he also inherited, unfortunately, was his father's clonal degeneration.

During a very strange ceremony presided over by Kaine (another Peter Parker clone), Reilly was possessed by both the soul of Daredevil and the demon Zarathos. Daredevil was able to fight the demon off, but a piece of it still remained within Tyne along with DD's soul. This turned Tyne into Darkdevil. He's basically Daredevil, Scarlet Spider, and Ghost Rider all rolled into one.

3 Danielle Cage

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones have an infant child in mainstream continuity named Dannielle. In one other Marvel reality, we get a look at this child all grown up.

The Danielle of this universe becomes worthy of wielding the hammer Mjolnir, transforming her into a new female version of Thor. It's safe to say Danielle became stronger than both her mother and father.

2 Jimmy Hudson

The most popular Universe Marvel has ever come out with is without a doubt the Ultimate Universe. Although it no longer exists, that reality gave readers a great look at a slightly different, updated Marvel world.

It is revealed within the pages of the Ultimate Universe that Wolverine had a son named Jimmy Hudson. Jimmy has survived since the death of the Ultimate Universe, making his way into the mainstream continuity where he has teamed up with a time-traveling team of X-Men.

1 Spider-Girl

May "Mayday" Parker is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane. After inheriting her father's abilities, and eventually gaining his blessing, Mayday decided to begin fighting crime as the superhero Spider-Girl.

Spider-Girl is without a doubt one of the most popular superhero children to ever grace a comic book page. She is the face of the MC2 Universe and is by far the most interesting thing to come out of that reality.
