Arriving in September to PlayStation 4, Marvel's Spider-Man had a massive presence at E3, with a trailer that depicted the wall-crawler up against Shocker, Electro, Rhino, Scorpion and Mister Negative. But at the end of the footage, Spider-Man turns around to see one more villain, but it cuts out before his identity is revealed. That's led to a lot of speculation about who this mastermind might be, but no information has been officially revealed.

However, voice actor Chris Jai Alex may have unintentionally provided clear picture as to who's behind the breakout at The Raft, and the plan to take down the web-slinger.

During an interview about Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 recorded at E3, Alex spoke about Spider-Man, and the difficulty in scaling characters in fight scenes. That's when he briefly mentioned Doctor Octopus being very tall, seemingly confirming the classic villain's inclusion in the game. It's possible that Doc Ock could be the leader of those villains, forming their own version of the Sinister Six, as only five other foes were shown attacking Spider-Man.

The original video has since been taken down, seemingly providing giving more credence to the spoiler. Whether Doctor Octopus is the primary antagonist, or simply another side villain for Spider-Man to face, it's likely we'll see the character in the game.

Marvel's Spider-Man arrives Sept. 7 from Insomniac Games.
