If you needed anymore reason to be excited about playing Insomniac's upcoming Spider-Man PS4-exclusive videogame, then how does the possibility of coming across other Marvel superheroes sound? Thanks to a video of early gameplay, it appears we have confirmation that the game's world will mirror that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the gameplay footage, when Spider-Man finds himself on the rooftops of New York City, fans can notice that the Avengers Tower is indeed part of the New York City skyline. This therefore confirms that the Avengers do exist in the game's universe and that players will be able to swing right onto it -- and maybe even go inside it.

While this is more than likely nothing more than an Easter egg and exciting nod for fans, there is always the possibility that players will see Iron Man flying-by in the sky. Who knows, maybe a special team-up may even be in the cards. Much about the Spider-Man game is kept under wraps, so the prospect of it taking place in a shared Marvel Universe is exciting to say the least.
