WARNING: Spoilers follow for Amazing Spider-Man #63 by Nick Spencer, Federico Vicentini, Alex Sinclair & VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.

Peter Parker is busy trying to help save his roommate Boomerang from Kingpin and the mayor's non-stop mafia hitmen. However, he is also now trying to help his other roommate, Randy Robertson, with his love life.

Randy Robertson is dating a supervillain called Beetle, who also happens to be the villain Tombstone's daughter. Her dad is infamous in Spider-Man comics as the villain who tormented the beloved Robbie Robertson and was responsible for sending the respected journalist to prison at one time. Randy has been dating the daughter of his dad's longtime enemy, and Peter had words of warning for his roommate.

Robbie Robertson and Tombstone learned in the last issue that their kids were dating, and both men were furious. Robbie told his son that he was disappointed and would wait until Beetle ended up in prison for his son to know the mistake he was making. Tombstone went nuts and tore his place up, yelling that no daughter of his would date a Robertson, causing her to leave. The two went to meet up with their friends to talk things out. For Beetle, it was her fellow female supervillains. For Randy, it was Peter Parker.

Beetle had dinner with her supervillain buddies and told them about her confrontation with her dad, Tombstone after he learned what happened. That led to them asking how the two met. Beetle explained how she went to kill Boomerang, and she saw his roommate Randy, and they immediately started hooking up. Of course, her villainous friends all agreed this was romantic and like Romeo and Juliet. However, they told her it would never work because he was someone who would try to change her. It turns out that is exactly what Randy thinks he can do.

While eating pizza, Randy told Peter that he was dating a supervillain and how his dad reacted to it. Peter lets his roommate know that he has been in this situation before...and agrees with Robbie about Randy needing to break up with her. After reminding Randy that she is a criminal, Peter gives him a final piece of advice: have a real talk with her about his expectations.

Spider-Man has been in a situation similar to Randy's in the past. He dated Black Cat as Spider-Man and didn't reveal his identity to her for a long time. He really felt he could change her and help her turn into a better person. However, it didn't really work out that way, although she has become a hero more often than not, and a lot of it might have to do with Spider-Man. It took him a little too long to have the talk with Black Cat, though, and when he unmasked and revealed he was Peter Parker, the mystery was gone, and Black Cat didn't feel the same. It was a tough time for both, and if anyone knows what Randy Robertson might be going through, it just might be Peter Parker.
