Spider-Man: No Way Home's official Twitter page has one piece of advice for eager fans anxiously awaiting the movie's first trailer: just chill.
The film's social media site tweeted "pls keep left" in response to a Twitter fan account posting an oft-used meme showing a vehicle hastily veering onto a freeway's exit ramp directly below the exit sign. The doctored meme labels the vehicle as "Spider-Man twitter" below the sign which directs traffic onto a ramp labeled as "OMG ITs COMING TODAY AT 9AM EST."
Other traffic is directed to keep left and "Don't guess and just wait for the trailer." The official Twitter page is clearly suggesting fans just demonstrate patience, rather than engage in endless speculation or continuously check for word of an official trailer.
The trailer has reportedly already been provided to movie theaters.
Anticipation for the film began almost immediately after the release of its predecessor, 2019's Spider-Man: Far from Home. In the mid-credits scene, TheDailyBugle.net's J. Jonah Jameson exposes Spider-Man's secret identity as Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, in a manipulated video. As this was the character's most recent MCU appearance, the aftermath of this revelation remains unknown.
Perhaps more interestingly, the post-credits scene revealed that Nick Fury and Anita Hill were actually Skrulls, with the real Fury living in space with a Skrull space craft as his command. The fallout from this reveal also has yet to be explored.
Spider-Man: Far from Home was the last MCU film to be released.
