Marvel fans appear to have discovered a Tobey Maguire Easter egg in the newly released Spider-Man: No Way Home teaser trailer.

A Twitter user noticed what Tom Holland is wearing in one part of the trailer, not as Spider-Man but as Peter Parker. As the user points out, Holland's civilian attire in certain scenes bears a striking resemblance to the shirt, tie and blazer combo worn by Tobey Maguire in the opening act of Spider-Man 3. Other fans agree that the costumes are too similar for the wardrobe choice to be a coincidence.

This find follows months of rumors and speculation that Maguire and fellow Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield will reprise their roles in the new film. Maguire originally portrayed the web-slinger in a trilogy of films directed by Sam Raimi, who recently wrapped production on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The movies are said to share connective tissue, with Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange playing a crucial role in the events of No Way Home, as seen in the trailer.

Although Maguire and Garfield remain unconfirmed for the film, the trailer featured the return of Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus, who hasn't been since 2004's Spider-Man 2. The trailer also alluded to other Spider-Man villains, including Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland. The film swings into theaters on Dec. 17.
